ISLAMABAD: The three-day warm-up match between Pakistan Shaheens and West Indies ended in a draw here at the Islamabad Club Ground on Sunday.
At the conclusion of the final day’s action, the home side were 128/3 while chasing 312.
Right-handed opener Mohammad Huraira remained the top-scorer for the home side with a run-a-ball 80-run knock, comprised of 12 fours and two sixes.
His fellow opener Omair Bin Yousuf was the other notable run-getter for the Shaheens in the second innings, scoring 25.
Jomel Warrican was the standout bowler for the West Indies as he picked up two wickets for 23 runs in eight overs.
Earlier in the day, the Shaheens declared their first innings at 212/9 without adding a single run to their overnight score and thus handed the touring side a handy 132-run lead.
In a bid to enforce a result, the visitors batted for only 40 overs in their second innings and declared at 177/5 to set a competitive target for the home side.
Middle-order batter Alick Athanaze, who scored 99 runs in the first innings, scored yet another half-century and top-scored for the West Indies with an unbeaten 58-run knock.
He was supported by Tevin Imlach, who scored 57, as they recovered West Indies from 73/5.
For Pakistan Shaheens, pacers Musa Khan and Ali Raza bagged two wickets each in the second innings.
Following the conclusion of the warm-up fixture, Pakistan and West Indies will now engage in a two-match Test series, scheduled to take place from January 17 to 29 in Multan.
